Job Summary:

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking a Pulmonology Critical Care Intensivist to join their busy and growing practice.
 
Qualified Candidates:
  • Board certified or board eligible in both Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine
  • Ability to obtain Florida Medical License and DEA
  • Comfortable with Interventional Pulmonology and Critical Care procedures
  • Interest/training in navigational bronchoscopy and EBUS
  • Team oriented and patient focused
  • Group is willing to consider an exceptional, newly trained fellow

Fort Walton-Destin Hospital’s interventional pulmonary and bronchoscopy program:
  • Produces over 200 robotic bronchoscopy procedures and over 350 EBUS procedures per year
  • Among the highest volume utility of Monarch robot in the HCA national enterprise
  • All year anesthesia support for all cases with no need for block time
  • In-room cytopathy for rapid onsite evaluation and diagnosis
  • Cryotherapy with 1.1 probes for cryobiopsy/ foreign body retrieval, argonplasma coagulation for tumor debulking and streamlined process for LMA utility with MAC anesthesia during flexible bronchoscopy to support procedural efficiency and safety
  • Recent approval of purchase order for monarch quest upgrade with tool and lesion confirmation and C­arm integration
  • Designated bronchoscopy lab with experienced staff independent of endoscopy and OR
