Pay Schedule II, Grade H24, Regular Schedule: 40 hours per week.
A vacancy exists in the Department of Public Works and Transportation, Bureau of Highways and Equipment Maintenance.

Examples of Duties
Job Purpose
Under general supervision, performs difficult and complex electrical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic components in water and/or wastewater plants, pumping stations, and related facilities; leads and instructs lesser skilled workers on the job; and does related work as required.

Qualifications
Education and Experience
Possession of a Baltimore County Master General or Master Limited Electrician License or possession of a valid Statewide Master Electrician License
Plus
Three years experience in work described by the duties above. (Additional electronics training, such as a certificate from a recognized electronics school or military electronics training, may be substituted for up to one year of the required experience.
(Registration as a Master Electrician in another jurisdiction within the State of Maryland, plus sufficient experience to qualify for Baltimore County reciprocity, may be substituted for the required Baltimore County or Statewide License.)
Licenses and Certificates:
Possession of a valid license to legally operate any class of vehicle or equipment necessary to perform the duties of the position is required at the time of appointment. Registration as a Master General or Master Limited Electrician in Baltimore County is required at the time of appointment.

Applicants are required to submit proof of professional licenses, certifications and education beyond high school to meet the required and preferred qualifications of the position. Diplomas or transcripts must show the applicants major field of study. Copies and unofficial transcripts are acceptable.

EXAMINATION PROCEDURE

Salary
Annual Salary review - Step increases may be granted on anniversary date based on satisfactory job performance
General Increases - Cost of living increases and adjustments may be granted as legislated.
Longevity Increases - In accordance with the specific pay schedule, a full-time merit or classified employee may receive a longevity increase, equivalent to one step, upon completion of a certain number of years of classified service with the County.
