Perform duties to set up and operate CNC Turret presses to produce a variety of parts in accordance with required specifications and work quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Work from setup sheets, prints, program tapes, routers, turret station board, and instructions:
Plan new setups, call up proper program, check setup sheet with turret station board to determine tool placement needs to perform operations such as punching embossing, notching, forming, and shearing.
Load tools in tool holders and index as indicated in the tool sheet.
Input program and set material holders in proper position on table.
Run sample part and check dimensions and operations performed against print and adjust tool positions or replace tools as necessary.
Operate machine, load and unload parts following machine cycle, check work for required operations and specifications, and place finished parts on skid.
Monitor machine for proper operation, add oil to the reservoir and replace tools as necessary.
Prepare job tickets, scrap, and daily production records.
Notify Group Leader of unusual machine or material problems.
Stack and move material as required.
Qualifications:
Experience operating CNC machines
Experience operating a Turret Punch Press a plus
Knowledge of blueprint reading highly desired
Perform inspections using calipers, protractors, and measuring angles
Ability to use a computer
Mechanical and technical skills
Inspect and maintain equipment with safety requirements
Capable of doing repetitive movements
At least 3 years of experience in Fabrication
Daily standing position and lifting a variety of parts, sizes, and weights. (Up to 60 lbs.)
