Job Description:

We are seeking a Software Engineer - Infrastructure Platform to lead the modernization of core infrastructure services and redesign our global Puppet ecosystem through migration from legacy Puppet 5 to Puppet 7+. In this role, you will architect next-generation IPAM/DDI solutions, consolidate configuration management tools, and build API-driven Python automation tools to deliver scalable and reliable infrastructure services.

What will your role look like

• Architect and execute the redesign of the Puppet ecosystem, migrating legacy Puppet 5 systems to Puppet 7+ while consolidating configuration management tools like Ansible and Puppet.
• Design, implement, and manage corporate IPAM and DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) platforms across multi-datacenter environments including lifecycle management and CMDB integration.
• Develop enterprise-grade Python tools and REST APIs to orchestrate infrastructure workflows and enable self-service automation.
• Implement and improve monitoring, alerting, and dashboards using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Nagios.
• Participate in incident response, conduct root cause analysis, maintain runbooks, and track metrics like availability, latency, and capacity.
• Maintain reusable IaC playbooks, modules, and templates to enforce configuration standards and repeatable deployments.

We would like you to bring along

• 5+ years of enterprise software development experience in Python focused on automation scripts, internal tooling, and REST API integrations.
• Deep hands-on expertise in Puppet 5/7 ecosystems along with experience in IaC tools like Ansible and Terraform.
• Strong enterprise-scale knowledge of DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) solutions and designing DDI as code.
• Proficiency in Linux systems administration, bare-metal provisioning, hypervisor deployment, and CMDB integration.
• Strong operational mindset and cross-functional experience working with hardware, software, storage, and SRE teams.
• Plus points for experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD), SRE methodologies, Kubernetes, and hybrid/multi-datacenter platforms.
