Trident Consulting is seeking a "Purchasing Advisor IV” for one of our client in "Rosemead, CA ". A global leader in business and technology services.

Job Title: Procurement / Purchasing Advisor IV
Location: Rosemead, CA 91770 (Hybrid – Onsite Monday & Tuesday)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Duration: 6|+ Months Contract (Potential Extension)

Pay rate: $80/hr - 83/hr on W2(Inclusive all)

Day-to-Day Responsibilities/Workload
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert responsible for leading the development, compilation, approval, and execution of procurement training programs (~70%) and applying advanced business process improvement principles to design standardized, scalable, repeatable solutions that enhance procurement capability, contract literacy, and organizational effectiveness (~30%).
  • Operates with a high degree of autonomy and strategic influence; this role will partner closely with Procurement leadership and the internal Enterprise Learning & Development (EL&D) team to deliver structured, enterprise-aligned training programs and with Procurement stakeholders in resolving pain points.
  • The role will focus on translating procurement policies, contract frameworks, and best practices into practical, accessible learning experiences and process documentation that improve performance and reduce contractual and operational risk.
  • (Note: Procurement wants to focus on practical application and action-heavy training, not lecture-based formats.)
  • Potential for assignment to be extended.
Required Skills/Attributes
  • Extensive experience in procurement, contract management, or business process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training programs in complex, cross-functional environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of contract terms, procurement processes, and supplier negotiation dynamics.
  • Proven experience collaborating with Legal, and Learning & Development teams.
  • Expertise in translating complex subject matter into clear, structured, and actionable training content.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, stakeholder coordination, and tracking execution.
  • 10 or more years of Procurement experience
Desired Skills/Attributes
  • Experience in utility, regulated, or large enterprise procurement environments.
  • Experience developing training for procurement agents or contract professionals.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
