Please find additional details about the role below: Title: Senior Procurement Specialist- Training & Process Improvement Location: Rosemead, CA -Hybrid Mon & Tue Type: Contract Pay rate: $83/hr on W2 (All inclusive) Shift: M-F:08.00 AM to 05.00 PM PST Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert responsible for leading the development, compilation, approval, and execution of procurement training programs (~70%).
- Apply advanced business process improvement principles to design standardized, scalable, and repeatable solutions that enhance procurement capability, contract literacy, and organizational effectiveness (~30%).
- Operate with a high degree of autonomy and strategic influence.
- Partner closely with Procurement leadership and the internal Enterprise Learning & Development (EL&D) team to deliver structured, enterprise-aligned training programs.
- Work with Procurement stakeholders to identify and resolve pain points.
- Translate procurement policies, contract frameworks, and best practices into practical, accessible learning experiences and process documentation.
- Develop training that improves performance and reduces contractual and operational risk.
- Focus on practical application and action-oriented training rather than lecture-based formats.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of Procurement experience.
- Extensive experience in procurement, contract management, or business process improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver training programs in complex, cross-functional environments.
- Strong working knowledge of contract terms, procurement processes, and supplier negotiation dynamics.
- Proven experience collaborating with Legal and Learning & Development teams.
- Expertise in translating complex subject matter into clear, structured, and actionable training content.
- Strong project management skills, including planning, stakeholder coordination, and execution tracking.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience in utility, regulated, or large enterprise procurement environments.
- Experience developing training for procurement agents or contract professionals.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills with the ability to influence at multiple organizational levels.
