Procurement Specialist – Drive Smart Purchasing & Supply Chain Efficiency

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to manage the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services. This role plays a vital part in ensuring materials, supplies, and services are acquired efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with company goals and production needs.


Key Responsibilities

  • Procure goods and services including raw materials, tools, supplies, equipment, repairs, and MRO items
  • Place purchase orders promptly while adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Maintain and manage stock levels, including replenishment, non-stock review, returns, and dead inventory analysis
  • Ensure procurement is conducted in a cost-effective, timely manner while balancing cost, quality, and urgency
  • Collaborate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing and service support
  • Review requisitions, purchase orders, and vouchers for accuracy and compliance
  • Analyze data to evaluate pricing trends and ensure reasonable costs
  • Identify supply demand to support production needs and plant operations
  • Expedite orders and communicate delivery timelines to internal teams; follow up on backorders
  • Perform month-end inventory cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives
  • Develop and implement cost-saving strategies and improvements in supply chain efficiency
  • Contribute to cost reduction initiatives, including Total Manufacturing Cost (TMC) for new products

Requirements

  • Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Proficiency in inventory systems and computer software
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of purchasing and inventory control principles
