A Purchasing Agent II will be responsible for purchasing raw materials, services, and supplies, and performing administrative duties.

Monday - Friday 8AM to 5PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure all raw materials, MRO, supplies, equipment, and services at the best cost/value
  • Create and maintain material specifications
  • Provide quote information to internal stakeholders and process Request for Quotation as required
  • Qualify new suppliers for products and services
  • Evaluate supplier performance on cost, quality and on time delivery
  • Implement Long Term Agreements / Negotiate supplier contracts
  • Work in tandem with Quality to resolve supplier quality issues
  • Forecast material requirements using various inputs from Internal customers and purchase history
  • Identify and project manage through implementation cost savings programs
  • Review and rectify any discrepancies between purchase order price and invoiced price
  • Understand market data to make informed purchasing decisions
  • Manage net material performance through cost containment, and cost avoidance strategies
  • Manage supplier on-time delivery performance
  • Maintain and improve supplier relationships
  • Conduct supplier/commodity spend analysis and negotiations to achieve favorable terms
  • Ensure material availability and manage inventory effectively
  • Manage MRP for assigned product lines/business units
  • Working with cross functional teams to improve business practices and support production
  • Maintain item-level MRP data, including lead times, pricing, and safety stock levels
  • Participating in improving our product, processes, equipment, and methods
  • Always maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Continuous improvement of job functions to increase efficiency and performance
  • Perform all reasonably related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of progressively more responsible experience
  • A professional level of knowledge in a specialized field equivalent to that ordinarily acquired by completing a four-year baccalaureate program.
  • Strong attention to detail

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be eligible to work on programs subject to ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations).
