HireLevel is looking for a Purchasing Assistant in Marion, IL.
Our Client is a state-of-the art retina care division focused solely on the care of retinal disease. They first opened their doors in 1974, they’ve grown into a multi-specialty ophthalmological practice providing comprehensive medical, surgical and optical services to the communities of southern Illinois and southeast Missouri. The ideal candidate will have great customer service experience and have an understanding that each patient should be treated like family.
Job Category: Part-Time:
Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Compensation: $15.50
Benefits: 401(k), Dental and health insurance, Paid time off
Responsibilities of Purchasing Assistant:·
Assist with ordering office, medical, or operational supplies
· Monitor inventory levels
· Prepare and process purchase orders
· Communicate with vendors regarding pricing, orders, and deliveries
· Track shipments and resolve order discrepancies
· Maintain organized purchasing records and invoices
· Assist with comparing pricing and obtaining quotes from vendors
· Work with departments to ensure purchasing needs are met in a timely manner
Requirements of Purchasing Assistant:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency with computer systems and data entry
- Ability to sit for extended periods during the workday
- Strong communication skills with patients, staff, and supervisors
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment
- Must meet requirements for criminal background clearance and drug testing policies
