General Information:Job title: Purchasing Assistant/Materials Management ClerkSchedule: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; Monday – Friday.Weekend rotation: No weekendsHoliday rotation: Paid holidaysPosition Summary:The Purchasing Assistant/Materials Management Clerk is responsible for the timely procurement, inventory management, and distribution of medical supplies and equipment to support patient care and organizational operations. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills to ensure supplies are available when needed while maintaining efficient inventory control and supporting the needs of patients and employees.Position Responsibilities:Purchase supplies needed for the organization. Complete work orders. Read and respond to all e-mails and telephone calls.Follow the determined delivery schedule to assist or perform with daily transportation of medical supplies to all outreach locations.Provide distribution of supply request and area supply cart restock in a prompt, cooperative and effective manner according to user demand.Perform other duties as requested.Maintain inventory control reports for supplies. Inventory control of the Main inventory, department and sub inventories.Position Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required. 1+ years of related work experience required.Experience working in the medical industry preferred.Must maintain a valid, current driver's license.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:Intermediate proficiency with computers is required.Experience working with patient care supplies and equipment is preferred; either in materials management, surgery, or patient care areas.Must have ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to communicate effectively.Strong prioritization and organizational skills.Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.Flexibility to work different shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
