Purchasing Assistant Job Overview:
The Purchasing Assistant provides exceptional organization, cleanliness and food safety for the Nutritional Services Department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Conducts daily inventories of all food, paper and chemical products
Place all food, paper and chemical orders with approved vendors
Receives and stores all products that are ordered
Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of all storage areas
Participates in Cooks and Inventory Tech meetings
Maintains a relationship with all kitchen staff to ensure quality of work
Will be an ESSENTIAL employee during weather/disaster emergencies
ESSENTIAL employees are REQUIRED to work during weather/disaster emergencies
Will participate in all departmental meetings
Will periodically work in other areas of the kitchen and cafeteria
