Job Summary

 

The Purchasing Assistant will assist various departments in placing purchase orders for needed supplies, verifying when received, and be primary contact with third party vendors.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Order supplies for individual departments and maintains purchase requirements
  • Oversee Uniform Program
  • Oversee all outside vendor services
  • Researches and answer vendor tickets when purchase orders have discrepancies
  • Produce and maintain various receiving reports and distributes as needed
  • Assist with collection of production data
  • Various administrative duties such as: filing, copying, etc.
  • May backup other departments and locations as needed

 

Job Requirements

 

  • High school diploma / equivalent required
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate well with coworkers and customers
