Surestaff is immediately hiring a Purchasing Associate for a facility in DeKalb, IL. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on managing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and supporting daily operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 
Surestaff is invested in their team members! All employees are offered competitive pay ($23/hr.), as well as access to a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).
Available shift:
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Overtime may be required depending on production needs.
Responsibilities of the Purchasing Associate:• Maintain and enter purchase orders in the ERP system with a high level of accuracy
• Manage shipping calendars and ensure pricing and delivery dates are correct
• Review open orders daily, update ETAs, and track shipments to prevent delays
• Communicate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations
• Assist with invoice discrepancies and order updates
• Create production orders, manage material transfers, and prepare inventory for invoicing
• Participate in daily team meetings and provide support to the purchasing team as needed
Required Qualifications of the Purchasing Associate:• Previous experience in purchasing, supply chain, or a related role
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
• Experience with QuickBooks & Adobe (ISO processes is a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Supply Chain preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Ability to maintain consistent attendance for an 8 AM to 4 PM schedule
• Comfortable working in a shared office within a manufacturing setting and able to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
