The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for total inventory control of food and supplies for Food and Nutrition Services. INTEGRIS Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.

  • Associates degree and 2 years warehouse experience or related food service experience
  • Degree may be substituted with 4 years relevant experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of a word processing program and a spreadsheet program
  • Valid Oklahoma drivers license and automobile insurance verification
  • Knowledge of Computrition software preferred

The Purchasing Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Receives and checks all items for quality per specifications; stocks and shelves all items in dry and cold storage, rotating product per first-in first-out basis
  • Accurately processes all invoices and stock requisitions on a daily basis. Produces inventory reports and maintains food indexes in electronic system
  • Ensures that Food and Nutrition Services dry and cold storage and dock areas are secure at all times
  • Provides up-to-date pricing information
  • Works closely with hospital purchasing personnel on ordering of non-food supplies
  • Submits daily, weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports to Nutrition System coordinator, Hospitality Director, and Accounts Payable
  • Ensures that cleaning/sanitizing chemicals are used according to specification and maintains current registration of Food Service Sanitation Certification

The Purchasing Coordinator reports to the Director Hospitality Services. This position may have additional or varied physical demand and/or respiratory fit test requirements. Please consult the Physical Demands Project SharePoint site or contact Risk Management/Employee Health for additional information. Daily contact with sharp knives; exposure to chemicals. Stocking and related duties requires 6 or more hours, intermittently, in the freezer twice a week. Must wear hospital provided safety belt and other protective clothing. All applicants will receive consideration regardless of membership in any protected status as defined by applicable state or federal law, including protected veteran or disability status.
