Purchasing Coordinator

Our new team member must be an enthusiastic team player who has the desire to learn and grow, thrive in a fast-paced work environment, have excellent communication skills, exhibit strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask and work independently with a sense of urgency in order to prioritize tasks.
Daily Activities/Responsibilities:
- Prepare, process and maintain all aspects of routine Purchase Orders. Review, follow-up and expedite orders as necessary
- Maintain and review purchasing documentation, including PO confirmations and daily receiving
- Assist in the completion of counting, entering and verifying physical inventory counts for daily cycle counts
- Work closely with warehouse and other team members to ensure accurate inventory levels,, receiving, deliveries and inter-branch transfers
- Responsible in the approval process and setting up of freight shipments
- Timely and effective communication on purchase orders and deliveries
- Performs related jobs as required in assisting the purchasing team with any administrative functions needed
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all information relation to pricing, sales and customer information
Working Environment
- Work in an indoor professional office climate
- Required to type and use computer/phone for the majority of the workday
- Heavy computer correspondence/follow-up
- Dress in professional business attire to present a polished and professional image on a daily basis.
- Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00-430PM. No overtime or weekend requirements.
