Position Description:

Renaissance Behavioral Health Systems,a comprehensive nonprofit mental health and social services provider and Joint Commission accredited organization, is currently seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to work at our Jacksonville Northside location. 

The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating purchasing needs under the supervision of the Purchasing Manager.  Coordinates product and vendor research.  Responsible for maintaining purchasing, distribution, and inventory records.  Responsible for the physical inventory including receiving, stocking and distribution.  Responsible for reproducing, maintaining inventory and distributing in house forms.

Duties include but are not limited to:

·       Coordinates activities involved in procuring goods and services. 
·       Reviews requisitions and advises managers when an item or quantity is questionable.  
·       Confers with vendors to obtain product or service information, such as price, availability and delivery schedule.
·       Prepares purchase orders.
·       Maintains procurement records such as items or services purchased, cost of items, and delivery. 
·       Discusses defective or unacceptable goods with users, vendors and others to determine source of trouble and corrective action
·       Corresponds with Purchasing Manager and Accounts Payable on billing and invoices for items received.
·       Coordinates inventory and purchasing requests.  
·       Responsible for receipt of vendor shipment and the physical placement of items into stock or distribution to the appropriate company/ departments. 
·       Receives and fills orders from employees for company uniforms.  Monitors inventory and orders additional items as needed.  
·       Responsible for the production of all in house forms using copy machine.
 
Position Requirements:
 
In order to be considered, candidates must have an Associate degree or two years equivalent college level education and one year purchasing and vendor relations experience required OR a High School diploma and two years of directly applicable purchasing and vendor relations experience required.
Must be able to interact appropriately with internal and external customers, including vendors, supervisory staff and other department professionals.

Position Details:

This is a Full Time Days position: Monday through Friday

Founded in Jacksonville in May 1977, Mental Health Resource Center, Inc. (MHRC) is a Florida not-for-profit corporation that provides a wide range of behavioral health and social services to the community.  Included in MHRC’s service array are 24-hour emergency services; inpatient psychiatric services for children, adolescents and adults; and numerous outpatient services, including medication management, case management, counseling, supported housing, psychosocial rehabilitation, two programs for the homeless, a therapeutic family program, state hospital liaison services, forensic services, in-jail services, and nine Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) programs for adults with severe and persistent mental illness located in Clearwater, Gainesville, Jacksonville, Kissimmee, Naples, Rockledge, Tampa, and Winter Haven. 

Since 1989, MHRC’s programs have been fully accredited by The Joint Commission.  Inpatient services are licensed by the State of Florida, Agency for Health Care Administration.  MHRC is a certified agency of United Way of Northeast Florida.      

MHRC accepts and directly bills most insurance plans, including Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurance plans.  Individuals who do not have health insurance and cannot afford our standard rates may be eligible for a reduced fee, depending on their income and number of household members.  Some MHRC programs are funded in part by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) and its managing entities, LSF Health Systems, Central Florida Behavioral Health Network, and Central Florida Cares Health System; the federal government; and the City of Jacksonville.
