Purchasing Coordinator - Manufacturing

We are seeking a Purchasing Coordinator in procurement of custom manufactured metal and plastic components. You will manage customer accounts including, processing of purchase orders, inventory levels, and scheduling shipments of custom manufactured parts from overseas suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Handle existing customer accounts
• Track and update inventory
• Order parts as needed for customer's requirements
• Handle communication with overseas vendors
• Resolve customer inquiries
• Keep customers aware of the latest developments
• Manage new projects from order placement to delivery
• Communicate with multiple departments on a daily basis
• Coordinate shipments from vendors to customer
• Analyze and determine purchasing needs based on orders and inventory levels

​Qualifications:

• 3+ years of previous experience in purchasing with a background in manufacturing or distribution/inventory
• Experience dealing with overseas vendors is strongly preferred
• Knowledge of OEM metal and/or plastic components and blueprints is preferred
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Moderate MS Word and Outlook
• Use of ERP software (Preferable Oracle Netsuite) a must
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Strong negotiation skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented

• Great communication skills

• Ability to problem solve

Hours are 8:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday
