Our client is a well-known food manufacturer. Due to growth, seeking a Purchasing Director to lead the procurement team. Primary responsibilities include:


+ Responsible for managing the Purchasing Department to include 3-4 personnel.

+ Oversee all purchasing activities, policies, systems, and personnel, ensuring compliance with internal controls, SQF requirements, and third-party audit standards.

+ Forecast raw material needs, maintain optimal inventory levels, manage system and non-system purchases, and proactively resolve shortages or supply chain disruptions.

+ Source new ingredients and packaging, manage approved vendors, negotiate competitive pricing through cost analysis and bidding, and monitor purchase orders to meet production timelines.

+ Coordinate with production, sales, QC, and customers; manage purchasing documentation, private label packaging and label development, and ensure accurate reporting and communication.


Position reports to SVP of Operations


Ideal candidates for Purchasing Director will possess the following


+ Bachelors degree.

+ CPSM, CPP, and/or APICS certifications a plus

+ 7+ years in high-volume food production

+ 3+ years managing personnel in purchasing/procurement


Salary up to $130k/yr. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401k, FSA, etc.


Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $130,000.00 per year
