Purchasing & Inventory Control Coordinator

Are you a highly organized purchasing and inventory professional who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment? We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing & Inventory Control Coordinator to join our growing team in Dallas, TX.

This is a key role within the organization, responsible for managing purchasing activities, maintaining accurate inventory levels across multiple locations, and helping drive operational efficiency and cost savings. What You’ll Do

Purchasing & Procurement
  • Partner with department managers to identify purchasing needs and support production requirements
  • Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective purchasing solutions
  • Create and manage purchase orders while overseeing purchasing transactions from start to finish
  • Verify pricing accuracy, track deliveries, and process receiving documentation
  • Resolve vendor issues related to pricing discrepancies, quality concerns, or shipment delays
  • Monitor supplier performance to ensure service, quality, and delivery expectations are met
Inventory Management
  • Maintain accurate inventory records across multiple company locations
  • Update inventory databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems daily
  • Conduct cycle counts, spot checks, and month-end inventory reconciliations
  • Investigate inventory variances and process approved inventory adjustments
  • Monitor inventory usage and identify opportunities to reduce shortages, overstock, and product loss
  • Help improve inventory accuracy and operational efficiency throughout the organization
Reporting & Process Improvement
  • Analyze purchasing and inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities
  • Recommend alternative suppliers, new products, or process improvements
  • Communicate inventory updates, obsolete products, and market trends to leadership
  • Prepare purchasing and inventory reports as needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within purchasing and inventory operations
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, and/or inventory control
  • Strong understanding of inventory management processes and purchasing operations
  • Experience working with inventory systems, ERP platforms, or database management tools
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong data tracking/reporting abilities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent communication and vendor management skills
  • High attention to detail with strong accuracy and follow-through
  • Ability to work independently and make sound business decisions
Preferred Background
  • Experience within manufacturing, production, distribution, or industrial environments preferred
  • Experience using ERP or inventory management software is a plus
