Position Overview

A leading local manufacturing and distribution organization is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Inventory Replenishment Coordinator to support day-to-day inventory planning and purchasing operations. This role is responsible for ensuring raw materials, packaging, and production supplies are available to meet operational demands while maintaining accurate inventory records and supplier communication.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong organizational and analytical skills, and can effectively collaborate across multiple departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels, forecasts, and production requirements to determine replenishment needs
  • Create and manage purchase orders while coordinating delivery schedules with suppliers
  • Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records, including pricing, units of measure, and product details
  • Support inventory planning for raw materials, packaging, and other operational supplies
  • Coordinate with internal departments including operations, production, receiving, and sales to ensure material availability
  • Manage and track off-site inventory and bulk material orders
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
  • Update and maintain purchasing system master data and inventory parameters
  • Assist with resolving inventory discrepancies, supply issues, and delivery concerns
  • Support process improvements to enhance purchasing efficiency and inventory accuracy
  • Perform additional administrative and purchasing-related duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, administrative support, or supply chain coordination preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework or college education preferred
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Advanced Excel skills preferred, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions
  • Experience with ERP/MRP or inventory management systems preferred
  • Strong data entry and record maintenance capabilities

Work Environment

  • Primarily office-based with collaboration across warehouse and production environments
  • Fast-paced setting requiring frequent communication and multitasking
  • Standard computer and office equipment used regularly
