The Opportunity

Join Hitachi Energy at an exciting moment of growth and transformation. As a Factory Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run seamlessly, sustainably, and cost‑effectively. This is a highly visible leadership role where your decisions directly influence production continuity, supplier performance, and operational excellence at the factory level.

You will be empowered to lead end‑to‑end purchasing activities for direct materials, MRO, and factory services—while shaping stronger supplier partnerships and driving continuous improvement. Working closely with production, planning, engineering, quality, logistics, and finance teams, you will turn supply chain strategy into daily operational impact.

At Hitachi Energy, procurement is more than purchasing—it is a strategic driver of reliability, innovation, and sustainability. This role offers the opportunity to build a high‑performing team, implement lean and digital procurement practices, and contribute to a resilient supply chain that supports our mission to advance a more sustainable energy future.

If you enjoy leading people, solving complex challenges, and influencing how products are built from the ground up, this role offers meaningful impact and long‑term growth.

  • Ensure material availability to support production schedules

  • Monitor supplier quality, delivery, and performance metrics

  • Identify and mitigate supply, quality, and compliance risks

  • Develop and coach a team of buyers and purchasing analysts

Your Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field

  • 5+ years of purchasing or procurement experience

  • Experience in a manufacturing or factory environment

  • Strong knowledge of direct materials, MRP, and factory operations

  • Proficiency with SAP or similar ERP systems

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and people‑leadership skills

  • Preferred: CPP, CPIM, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent certifications
