Purchasing Manager
Responsibilities:
* Lead and oversee purchasing activities for raw materials, packaging, and supplies, ensuring optimal cost, quality, availability, inventory levels, and supply continuity
* Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, contracts, pricing, performance, and sourcing while monitoring commodity markets, pricing trends, availability, and supply-chain risks
* Collaborate with Production, Operations, Sales, Quality, Finance, and senior leadership to align procurement strategies with business needs and operational goals
* Lead and develop the purchasing team while driving process improvements, purchasing efficiencies, cost-saving initiatives, and alternative sourcing opportunities
Required Skills & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business, or related field
* 5+ of experience in purchasing, procurement, or related field within a food environme
* Must be able to work Monday to Friday to 8am to 4pm
* Proficient with Excel and ERP systems
Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Experience in meat processing, protein manufacturing. or pother high0volume food manufacturing environments
* Experience purchasing dry goods, labels, corrugated materials, and other production and supplies within a food manufacturing environment
