We are commit ted to delivering innovative solutions and maintaining the highest level of customer service, which has made us a trusted leader in the industry.What We Offer: Exciting innovative, collaborative, and team-oriented work environmentChallenging and individualized career development opportunitiesCompetitive salariesComprehensive Health & Wellness programsRetirement Program with Employer Match!Best practice Paid Time Off policies and paid holidaysOpen communication, recognition programs, and team-building eventsAnd much more to motivated, results-oriented individuals who want to make a real difference in their community and roleWhat You'll Do: As the Purchasing Manager, you will plan, manage, and lead the company's purchasing activities, including inventory management, forecast planning, and supply chain risk mitigation, to ensure on-time, complete products.Your Accountabilities in the Role: Develops and implements purchasing strategies that align with operational requirements and financial objectives.Researches, evaluates, and selects appropriate supply vendors in alignment with company standards, sourcing strategies, and business objectives.Analyzes vendor and supply chain risks to develop and implement purchasing and sourcing strategies that minimize disruption across the organization.Manages the procurement of raw materials, components, and finished goods for manufacturing and distribution to support manufacturing and distribution operations.Negotiates vendor pricing, contracts, and terms to achieve cost, quality, and delivery objectives.Maintains and develops supplier relationships to ensure reliable supply and performance.Acts as a liaison between Operations, Sales, and vendors on product needs and related material selection/issues to achieve mutual goals.Collaborates with Operations to proactively understand purchasing needs on common items or commodities to maximize purchasing leverage and ensure material availability and budget goals are met.Position Requirements:Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of coursework and experience.Experience: 5+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in a distribution-related environment, with demonstrated leadership or management experience. A minimum of 3+ years of global supply chain experience and 3 years of ERP experience is also preferred.Certifications: APICS Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or ISM Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), Lean Six Sigma, and/or OSHA 10 Hour preferred.Functional Skills: Strong ability to research, source and evaluate vendor options with a strength in negotiating vendor pricing, agreements and/or contracts. Excellent organization, prioritization and project management skills, with a great attention to detail. Highly analytical with the ability to gather information and make decisions timely and effectively.Technology Skills: Strong skills in Microsoft Office 365 and ERP experience required.Language Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to influence others.Leadership/ Behaviors: Self-motivated, can work independently to achieve the goals of the position. Collaborative with an excellent ability to build and maintain positive relationships within the company and with vendors is essential. And, the compensation will grow as the team member grows!Reports To: Director of OperationsCore Hours: 8 am – 5 pm (schedule can be flexible; will work approx. 8 hours within this timeframe)Typical Work Week: M-F; 40 - 45 hours a week on average (Some overtime as needed)Direct Reports: 1 Direct ReportTravel: Limited; less than 25% of the timeWork Conditions: Standard office environment
