Purchasing Manager

Qualified Staffing is seeking a Purchasing Manager for our client in Macon, GA.

This position plays a key role in supporting production by managing purchasing activities, maintaining accurate ERP/MRP data, and building strong supplier relationships. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, purchasing experience in manufacturing, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Fridays as needed)Pay Rate: 45-70K/yearlyWork Location: On-site, Macon, GARelocation Assistance: Not available. Applicants should reside within commuting distance of Macon, GA or be willing to relocate independently prior to their start date.

Responsibilities:

• Manage purchase orders from creation through completion
• Track open orders and follow up with suppliers on delivery timelines
• Maintain accurate purchasing data, pricing, lead times, and vendor information in ERP/MRP systems
• Support inventory control efforts and help prevent material shortages
• Assist with vendor quotes, cost comparisons, and supplier performance tracking
• Work with drawings and manufacturing documentation
• Support DCAA audit activities and procurement compliance
• Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and data accuracy
• Collaborate with multiple departments to support production goals

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong ERP/MRP system experience
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and follow-through
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
• Understanding of manufacturing workflows, inventory practices, and lead times
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
