About the Opportunity

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager for a leading wholesale distribution organization in Spring, Texas. This leadership role is responsible for managing purchasing operations, inventory control, vendor relationships, and the development of a high-performing purchasing team.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience within the HVAC distribution industry and possess hands-on knowledge of Epicor Eclipse ERP. Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all purchasing and procurement activities.

• Develop and execute purchasing strategies that support inventory availability and business objectives.

• Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and supplier performance.

• Oversee inventory control processes, cycle counts, and annual physical inventories.

• Monitor purchasing budgets, costs, and inventory investments.

• Ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained across multiple locations.

• Analyze purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

• Partner with leadership to support operational goals and customer service initiatives.

• Lead, coach, and develop purchasing team members to maximize performance and career growth.

• Drive accountability while fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in the HVAC industry, preferably within HVAC distribution.

• Experience using Epicor Eclipse ERP.

• Proven experience leading purchasing, procurement, or supply chain operations within a distribution environment.

• Experience managing and developing purchasing, procurement, or inventory teams.

• Strong background in vendor negotiations and supplier management.

• Expertise in inventory control, purchasing strategy, and cost management.

• Experience overseeing inventory counts and annual physical inventories.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing purchasing operations across multiple locations.

• Experience with additional ERP systems such as Profit21 or Mincron.

• Background in plumbing, electrical, or wholesale distribution environments.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.

Compensation & Benefits
