Description
Our Company: SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long term care facilities and assisted living communities. SpecialtyRx takes pride in delivering personalized care and quality pharmacy services.
Responsibilities:
Perform duties assigned by the Regional Purchasing Manager.
Purchaser is responsible for coordinating and managing procurement of medications and pharmacy supplies.
Handle continuous availability of medications to support efficient pharmacy operations.
Verify product availability, pricing and expiration dates
Receiving order from all vendors and correctly process into system
Responsible for inventory, place orders, checks drugs & supplies
Assist with department training, as needed.
Work closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and distributors.
Process purchasing reports and maintain accurate inventory levels.
Responsible for pharmacy standards, maintained and adherence policies.
Team player and collaborate with others to support the goals of the pharmacy.
Complete any other task assigned by the Regional Purchasing Manager.
Qualifications:
Pharmacy Technician experience, preferred.
Efficient computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) proficient.
Frameworks experience preferred.
Training is available for those interested in the role.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work independently, accurately, and effectively.
Ability to occasionally perform light lifting (up to 25 pounds) and repetitious physical activity.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to travel, as needed.
Must be able to multi-task.
