Purchasing Specialist

We are immediately seeking a Purchasing Specialist!

Responsibilities of the Purchasing Specialist:

• Purchase raw materials, components, packaging, and operating supplies for a manufacturing operation
• Create, manage, and follow up on purchase orders in an ERP system (Sage 100)
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material availability with production schedules
• Receive materials and verify packing slips, invoices, and receiving paperwork
• Build supplier relationships, track vendor performance, and resolve pricing or delivery discrepancies
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments, including freight, container tracking, and import/export documentation

Qualifications of the Purchasing Specialist:

• 35 years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Sage 100 a plus
• Background in supplier negotiations, inventory control, and supply chain processes
• Import/export and freight coordination experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and clear communication in a fast-paced environment

Pay & Schedule:

• $23.50 $25.50 per hour, depending on experience
• 30 hours/week: 8:00 AM 2:30 PM, or 40 hours/week: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
• Immediate start following the interview process
