High school diploma of GED required; assocaite degree or construction-related coursework preferred.
2+ years of purchasing, procurement, warehouse, or material coordination experience in the electrical or construction industry preferred.
Knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, and terminology.
Ability to read construction drawings and material schedules.
Strong organzational and multitasking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Experience with ERP, procurement, or construction management software is a plus.
Strong communication and negoation skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
Purchase electrical materials, tools, and equipment based on project requirements and schedules
Review project drawings, specifications and material takeoffs to determine purchasing needs.
Obtain pricing and negotiate with suppliers and vendor agreements, and material tracking logs.
Coordinate material deliveries to job sites, warehouses, or staging areas.
Monitor inventory levels and maintain stock materials as needed.
Communicate with project managers, superintendents, and field personnel regarding material status and shortages.
Track backorders, lead times, and delivery schedules to prevent project delays.
Verify recieved materials against purchase orders and resolve discrpancies or damaged shipments.
Maintain accurate procurement records, invoices, packing slips, and documentation.
Assist with budgeting, job costing, and cost tracking for projects.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with electrical distributors and manufactures.
Ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures and safety standards.
Support closeout documentation and return of surplus materials when projects are completed.
