Overview
Purchasing Specialist is responsible for supporting business operations by ordering products and materials based upon company guidelines. Duties include:
• Maintaining relationships with Suppliers, Vendors or Wholesalers • Placing orders for products based on current inventory needs and tracking shipments • Fulfilling purchase orders and advising associates on standard and appropriate choices • Processing business card and name plates/badges request • Assisting with setting up accounts for various services i.e., coffee, water, vending machines • Monitoring stock levels and identifying purchase needs against historic norms • Assisting in the vendor selection process by researching potential vendors, evaluating offers and negotiating better pricing • Tracking orders to ensure timely, correct delivery and to confirm or change orders as needed • Processing and maintaining records of invoices and contracts and preparing cost analysis reports • Inspecting received products for quality to ensure adherence to specifications • Assisting with furniture planning, ordering, installation and warehousing • Maintaining accurate stacking and seating plans • Providing further assistance to the General Services Department as needed • May perform other duties as assigned

• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills • Excel and Word proficiency preferred • Ability to work well in a high-pressure environment • Self-motivated, goal-oriented and proactive • Ability to work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities • Ability to manage schedules and meet deadlines • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds while using the appropriate lifting techniques and following all safety rules • Clean driving record • Travel require, approx. 20%
Compensation
The base pay range for this position is USD $20.00/Hr. - USD $22.00/Yr. Exact offers will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
