Arkansas Talent Group is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist for one of our clients in the industrial equipment and distribution industry. This position is a full-time, in-office opportunity located in Central Arkansas.

They are seeking a hands-on Purchasing Specialist who can help ensure the right parts and equipment are sourced efficiently to keep operations running smoothly.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory coordination, or supply chain operations within parts distribution, manufacturing, heavy equipment, industrial services, or related industries.
Responsibilities:
Procurement Coordination: Source and purchase parts, equipment, materials, and supplies needed to support daily operations and customer service demands.
Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers while negotiating pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules.
Purchase Order Management: Create, track, and manage purchase orders to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment.
Inventory Collaboration: Work closely with inventory and operations teams to monitor stock levels, identify purchasing needs, and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Cost Control & Analysis: Evaluate pricing trends, vendor performance, and purchasing opportunities to help maximize efficiency and cost savings.
Expediting & Problem Solving: Proactively follow up on delayed shipments, backorders, and urgent parts requests to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
Data Accuracy: Maintain accurate purchasing records, pricing updates, vendor information, and procurement documentation within ERP and inventory systems.
Cross-Functional Communication: Partner with service, warehouse, accounting, and operations teams to ensure purchasing activities align with company priorities and customer needs.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline purchasing workflows, improve vendor performance, and enhance procurement efficiency.
Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all purchased products meet company standards, specifications, and operational requirements.
