Place, manage, and track purchase orders with domestic and international suppliers, ensuring accuracy and alignment with production schedules and lead times.

Maintain strong supplier relationships, resolve supply issues, and drive on‑time delivery performance.

Support sourcing initiatives including supplier evaluation, cost analysis, negotiation, and onboarding.

Monitor ocean freight logistics, container scheduling, customs requirements, and tariff implications affecting cost and delivery timelines.

Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure smooth inbound flow of goods.

Partner with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Customer Service to support forecasting accuracy, inventory planning, and customer service objectives.

Communicate supply risks, delays, and mitigation plans proactively.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly purchasing and inventory reports for leadership.

Lead problem‑solving efforts related to inventory shortages, supplier performance issues, and replenishment challenges.

Support supply chain improvement projects focused on inventory optimization, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.

Provide guidance and oversight to purchasing team members as needed.

Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Support the Sr. Director with departmental responsibilities, strategic initiatives, and analytical reporting.

_Requirements:_

High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, or related field preferred.

5+ years of purchasing, inventory management, demand planning, or supply chain experience.

Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

Strong understanding of inventory management principles, working capital management, inventory turns, and fill rate performance metrics.

Experience managing foreign suppliers and international purchasing operations.

Knowledge of ocean freight logistics, international shipping processes, tariffs, and import/export procedures.
