Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Location: Fenton, MO
Shift: Monday-Friday | 9a - 5p

Responsibilities of the Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist:
- Create, issue, and manage purchase orders within the ERP system (Epicor Prophet 21)
- Verify pricing, quantities, lead times, and delivery schedules
- Monitor open purchase orders and proactively expedite critical materials
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve shortages, delays, and delivery issues
- Build and maintain strong vendor relationships while supporting supplier performance improvements
- Coordinate purchasing activities to support production schedules, customer orders, and project timelines
- Maintain accurate purchasing data, pricing, and supplier information within the ERP system
- Assist with vendor negotiations, contract pricing updates, and cost-saving initiatives
- Track supplier performance, late orders, and purchasing metrics
- Collaborate with Operations, Production, Customer Service, and Sales teams to ensure material availability
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and help streamline purchasing processes
- Maintain organized purchasing records and documentation
Requirements of the Purchasing & Supply Chain Specialist:
- Associate degree or some college coursework preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing or procurement experience
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor Prophet 21 experience is a plus)
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Forklift certification or experience preferred (training provided if needed)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday
- Lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed
- Operate warehouse equipment and use common hand tools
- Ability to work safely in an industrial environment
