Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of the Purple Parrot restaurant, ensuring exceptional guest service, efficient workflow, and adherence to company standards. This role involves supervising staff, managing resources, and maintaining a positive dining experience.
Job Responsibilities
- Supervise and train Purple Parrot staff, including servers, bussers, and hosts, ensuring adherence to service standards, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor and maintain high levels of guest satisfaction by addressing concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring timely and accurate service.
- Manage daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory control, and workstation assignments.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as company policies.
- Assist with scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions for Purple Parrot staff.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and address any food quality or preparation issues.
- Monitor and control inventory of supplies, communicating needs to management as required.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) system, process payments, and reconcile daily transactions.
- Act as a leader and role model for staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a full-service restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills with a proven ability to resolve guest issues effectively.
- Thorough understanding of restaurant operations, including POS systems, inventory management, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Demonstrated ability to train, motivate, and manage a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must adhere to all appearance standards, including but not limited to no "visible" tattoos/piercings or unnatural hair colors. *
