IDR is seeking a Python/AWS Developer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity in Malvern, PA. This role involves designing and maintaining secure API solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment within the technology sector.
Position Overview for the Python/AWS Developer:
- Responsible for building, hardening, and maintaining secure API integrations using AWS API Gateway and Python.
- Implement authentication and authorization controls, such as OAuth, API keys, and IAM policies.
- Automate security checks within the API lifecycle to ensure compliance and security standards.
- Collaborate with security or platform engineering teams to enhance API security and performance.
- Support monitoring and alerting activities using AWS tools like Lambda, IAM, and CloudWatch.
Requirements for the Python/AWS Developer:
- 5-7 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining secure API solutions using AWS API Gateway and Python, in an agile environment.
- Strong technical acumen in AWS API Gateway, Lambda, IAM, with working knowledge of security best practices (OAuth, TLS, rate limiting, WAF integration).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub workflows) and infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation/Terraform) is a plus.
- Background supporting a security or platform engineering team preferred.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code is beneficial.
