Job Overview:
The mission of the Data Protection (DP) group is to implement the organization's Data Cybersecurity Strategy by architecting, engineering, deploying, and operating technical data security controls and capabilities for the enterprise. This is achieved through a focus on architectural rigor, automation, Agile delivery, and adoption of Data Protection Services control implementations by users and partners. The Data Protection Services (DPS) team designs, engineers, and operates solutions that secure data at rest and in transit, escalating inappropriate usage of data to incident responders. This role involves building APIs leveraging vendor SaaS solutions, microservices, and applications for scanning automation, masking, policy controls, scheduling, and authentication management.

Responsibilities:

• Onboard new and maintain existing API microservices to support business needs and integrate with the tech ecosystem focused on sensitive data detection.
• Support Development & Operational tasks involved in data security services, including service delivery, task automation, DevOps tasks, and on-call support.
• Develop automation scripting and observability solutions to improve services continuously.
• Participate in design and code reviews across the Data Protection Dev squad and stakeholder groups.
• Engage in the agile structure and norms of the team.
• Deliver knowledge sharing across global Data Protection squads and chapters through documentation, presentations, and internal postings.
• Extend technical knowledge with challenging engineering projects and new technologies in areas like cloud data governance.
• Collaborate with experts in various technologies and learn more about the financial industry through business stakeholders and industry events.

  • Development: Python, FastAPI, Beanie
  • DevOps: Git, Jenkins, Test Automation

  • Networking: Troubleshooting and debugging
  • Security Practices: Knowledge of critical cybersecurity controls
  • AI Software Development Lifecycle (AI SDLC): Working knowledge of secure and governed use of AI across all stages of development.

• Experience working within Agile teams.
• Experience building and scaling APIs in a microservice environment.
• Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITIL).
• Ability to quickly learn and understand proprietary technologies in a complex, regulated environment.
• Self-starter with proven experience in technical and application support of enterprise systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative approach.
• An automation/orchestration mindset to reduce manual processes.

Pay Range: $60 - $64/hour on W2
