Job Title: Python/React Developer

Duration: 18 Month W2 Contract

Location: Jersey City, NJ

Required Pay Scale:$68.25/hour

We are seeking a strong, hands-on engineer to augment the UI Horizontal team, with ownership of change management processes and responsibility for ensuring application compliance with bank policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Enhance and maintain existing business applications (core frameworks, trade blotters, management reporting tools)
• Partner with global technology teams to deliver strategic solutions and reduce redundant processes
• Support business and technology teams with product inquiries across Fixed Income, Currencies, and Derivatives
• Maintain clear, current documentation to support business growth initiatives
• Work closely with Front Office trading desks to diagnose, understand, and resolve critical issues
• Navigate incomplete or ambiguous requirements to deliver durable solutions
• Collaborate extensively with internal teams, external brokers, and third-party organizations
• Communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
• Produce clear, concise documentation and root-cause analyses to aid resolution
• Contribute innovative ideas and support the rollout of new products and capabilities

Required Skills

• Proven experience in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
• Strong coding, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Fluent in LLMs and agentic workflows
• Strong interest in and understanding of financial markets and products
• Hands-on experience with:
• Python and JavaScript (React, Node.js)
• SQL and NoSQL databases
• ETL processes
• RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Streaming and connectivity protocols for financial data
• Ability to prioritize across competing issues based on business demand
• Comfortable interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels

Desired Skills

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Availability during trading hours (9:00 AM-7:00 PM, Monday through Friday)
