Quality Assurance Analyst
Location: Chester, NY Area | Onsite 3 days/week (following initial 90-day 100% onsite training/onboarding period)

They are growing and investing heavily in their technology and software infrastructure.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join an established QA team and support the overall quality of various software systems and applications. This role covers manual testing across web, mobile, and client-server platforms, including complex end-to-end workflows and physical device testing (Android/iOS, Set Top Boxes, cable modems, fiber ONTs).

Responsibilities

  • Own test planning and strategy aligned to project schedules and timelines
  • Write, execute, review, and maintain manual test cases in JIRA as requirements evolve
  • Perform testing across web apps, mobile apps (iOS/Android), set-top boxes, cable modems, and fiber devices
  • Execute Smoke, System, Functional, End-to-End, Integration, Regression, UAT, GUI, and Load Testing
  • Identify, report, and track defects in JIRA; participate in defect triage sessions
  • Communicate testing progress and findings to team members and management
  • Document test scenarios, workflows, user guides, and technical specifications
  • Collaborate with internal development/QA teams and external vendors on system integrations
  • Support production deployments and perform post-deployment validation
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • 3+ years of manual testing experience in a Software QA role
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodology, SDLC, and STLC
  • Experience with SoapUI, Postman, RESTful APIs, and XML
  • Hands-on experience writing thorough test plans and test cases from functional requirements
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and analytical ability
Nice to Have/Desired:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with complex, multi-tier platform testing preferred
  • QA/software testing certifications a plus
