QA Analyst, App Engineering & QA Partner Team

This is a highly technical QA role focused on ensuring product quality for a flagship, fast-shipping global consumer application. The position goes beyond manual testing, requiring the ability to read and review code, utilize AI-assisted workflows for bug triage, and independent execution of automation and performance benchmarking. It supports new feature launches, regression/smoke coverage, and requires close partnership with cross-functional and cross-time zone teams to ship high-quality features under tight timelines.

  • Pay Range - $49.00 – $54.00
Responsibilities Include:
  • Execute manual and automated test cases for new and existing features, concepts, and end-to-end regression.
  • Read, review, and debug code (Python, JavaScript, SQL) to understand changes and minimize dependency on engineers.
  • Run innovative testing techniques including performance benchmarking, battery testing, and quality measurement.
  • Use AI agents and tools to accelerate bug triage, debugging, and overall QA workflows.
  • Create and maintain dashboards to track quality metrics, test progress, and conduct product/bug audits to improve coverage.
  • Lead test execution for small-to-medium projects and provide release readiness support.
  • Coordinate across timezones with offshore teams (India/Mexico), including occasional off-hours or overtime.
  • Support stealth projects, safety, and model testing (including potential exposure to unsafe content).
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related field.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Other qualifications/requirements: Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes; excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Must-Haves:
  • Automation + Code Reading: Strong technical QA depth with the ability to review code and handle complex test setups.
  • Technical Stack: Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Benchmarking: Experience independently defining and measuring performance/quality regressions and battery metrics.
  • AI Tooling: Comfort using AI agents, LLMs, or homegrown AI tools for triage and debugging.
  • Fast-Paced Experience: Background working with fast iterations, frequent releases, and tight timelines (not suited for purely manual or slow-release backgrounds).

Nice-to-Haves:
  • Domain familiarity testing social networking apps (Feeds, creation, chat interactions).
  • Exposure to Trust & Safety or sensitive-content testing.
  • Proven experience with cross-timezone collaboration (flexibility for India/Mexico time zones).
  • Experience with dashboarding tools and quality metrics.
