About the Role
We are looking for an experienced QA Analyst with strong expertise in the BFSI domain, including functional testing, data validation, and end-to-end quality assurance of financial applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in validating complex datasets, ensuring regulatory compliance, and working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Functional & Manual Testing
Perform requirement analysis, create detailed test plans, test scenarios, and test cases based on functional specifications.
Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing for BFSI applications.
Validate loan lifecycle, payments, collections, KYC/AML, risk, credit decisioning, or other BFSI processes depending on the project.
Ensure test deliverables comply with industry standards and internal QA processes.
Data Validation & Backend Testing
Perform data validation using SQL for high-volume financial datasets and transactional systems.
Validate data movements across multiple layers: source ' staging ' warehouse ' downstream systems.
Conduct ETL testing, reconciliation, and data integrity checks for BFSI workflows.
Work with APIs, logs, and backend systems to troubleshoot data or functional issues.
Defect Management
Document defects with clear reproduction steps and severity classification.
Work closely with developers, BAs, and product teams for timely resolution.
Use tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar defect-tracking systems.
Collaboration & Delivery
Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectives in an Agile environment.
Collaborate with business stakeholders for requirement clarification and UAT support.
Prepare test summary reports, QA metrics, and release readiness documentation.
