QA Automation Consultant

Summary:

Pay Rate: $78.00 - $82.00 Negotiable based upon years of experience

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Irving, TX

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for functional, automation, and regression testing, and all initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production
• Perform data reconciliations for large sets of data and investigate breaks
• Implement and execute automation test framework for backend functional and non-functional testing
• Create tools, web services, test frameworks using Java/Python
• Create queries in SQL to fetch data from databases based on required criteria
• Quantify and track automation test coverage
• Identify and highlight ways to continuously optimize the way in which QA operates
• Work closely with the development team in an Agile environment

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT Quality role with substantial experience in backend automation (Reconciliations, DBs, APIs)
• Experience in Java and backend test automation
• Experience in testing real-time Kafka streams
• Experience in SQL with the ability to understand and create complex queries
• Experience in backend testing and API testing
• Basic knowledge of Linux commands

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in the Financial Service industry is a plus
• Experience in Python to understand and work on existing Python scripts and frameworks

Education:

• Bachelors/University degree in Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
