Job Title: QA Automation Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled QA Automation Engineer with extensive experience in automation testing, specifically using Cypress. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both JavaScript and TypeScript, and will be responsible for developing and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of our software applications. This role requires a detail oriented individual who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress for web applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand application functionality and create effective test cases.
• Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and areas for improvement.
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality of code.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Document test plans, test cases, and test results in a clear and concise manner.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure timely delivery of high quality software.
• Mentor junior QA team members and share best practices in automation testing.

Mandatory Skills:

• Proven experience with Cypress for end to end testing.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• In depth knowledge of automation testing frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot complex software issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  
  Preferred Skills:
• Familiarity with other automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright).
• Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
• Knowledge of performance testing and security testing.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Experience in working with RESTful APIs and web services.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10 15 years of experience in software quality assurance and automation testing.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering high quality software products.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
