CTG is seeking to fill a QA Automation Engineer position for our client. Join our client's engineering team as a QA Automation Engineer responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of semiconductor Process Design Kit (PDK) releases. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in EDA automation, DRC rule validation, and automated regression testing who can make an immediate impact. You'll develop and maintain robust QA frameworks, automate regression suites, and validate PDK rule decks using industry-leading EDA tools. Location: Remote Duration: 12 months Shift: Monday - Friday Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain automated regression test suites for comprehensive PDK validation. Design, implement, and execute QA test cases to verify DRC rule deck functionality and accuracy. Validate Design Rule Check (DRC) coding using Synopsys ICValidator (ICV DRC). Build automation tools and scripts to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and repeatability. Work closely with development and design engineering teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve defects. Analyze regression results, document findings, and recommend quality improvements. Support continuous integration and automated testing initiatives for PDK releases. Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards before production deployment. Required Skills Demonstrated expertise in DRC Coding using Synopsys ICValidator (ICV DRC). Experience developing and maintaining automated QA regression suites. Strong EDA automation, scripting, and software development skills. Hands-on experience with: Synopsys ICValidator KLayout Cadence Virtuoso Siemens (Mentor) Calibre Programming experience with: Python C/C++ PxL (Synopsys) SVRF (Calibre) SKILL (Cadence) Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills. Ability to work independently in a collaborative remote environment. Preferred Experience 5+ years of QA automation, software testing, or EDA automation experience. Experience validating semiconductor PDKs and DRC rule decks. Proven ability to build automated testing frameworks from the ground up. Experience supporting semiconductor design and verification workflows. Ability to contribute immediately with minimal ramp-up. Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $65.00 to $75.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
