Job Summary Salesforce QA Automation Engineer

- Location: Local to AZ only (Hybrid: First 2 3 days onsite, then once a month)
- Role Focus: Support DES IT modernization projects by leading QA and test automation for Salesforce-based solutions (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and custom Public Sector Solutions)
- Automation Frameworks:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Provar, Playwright, Cypress, UTAM)
- Automate end-to-end workflows, including custom Apex logic, LWCs, Visualforce, and complex business processes
- Develop and execute automated tests for REST/SOAP API integrations with external systems
- Integrate automated test suites within CI/CD pipelines (Copado, AutoRABIT, Salesforce DevOps Center, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Quality Assurance Responsibilities:
- Define test strategies, plans, and acceptance criteria with Product Owners and Salesforce Architects
- Develop and maintain automated regression and release testing suites
- Manage defect identification, logging, tracking, and retesting (Jira or Azure DevOps)
- Oversee testing data management, sandbox environments, and data masking/refresh strategies
- Salesforce-Specific QA:
- Validate Salesforce security models (Profiles, Roles, Permission Sets, Sharing Rules)
- Assess and prepare automation suites for Salesforce seasonal releases (Winter, Spring, Summer)
- Experience & Technical Skills:
- 3 5+ years in QA Automation (including 2 3+ years focused on Salesforce platform)
- Proficient in Java, JavaScript, Python, or C#
- Experience with automation tools such as Provar, Selenium, Playwright, UTAM, or Cucumber/BDD
- Familiar with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI)
- Experience with DevOps tools (Jira, GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins, Copado, AutoRABIT)
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce architecture, Apex basics, LWCs, and admin capabilities
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Salesforce Certified Administrator
- Salesforce Certified Development Lifecycle and Deployment Architect or similar certifications
