About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer 3 to support the testing and quality assurance of complex enterprise applications.

This senior-level position will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions, developing test scripts, prioritizing test scenarios, preparing test environments, executing functional and regression testing, and ensuring applications meet established business and technical requirements.

The ideal candidate will bring 8+ years of QA and software testing experience, with significant hands-on expertise in automated testing, test script development, test planning, functional testing, regression testing, and the software development lifecycle.

Experience testing healthcare applications is highly desirable, and experience with Katalon is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for complex software applications.

• Develop automated testing solutions that improve test coverage, consistency, and efficiency.

• Analyze business and technical requirements to determine appropriate testing strategies.

• Prioritize test scenarios based on application functionality, business requirements, risk, and technical dependencies.

• Develop detailed test execution plans and strategies.

• Create and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test documentation.

• Prepare and configure test environments and test data as required.

• Perform functional, application, integration, and regression testing.

• Execute automated and manual tests as appropriate throughout the development lifecycle.

• Analyze test results, identify defects, document findings, and communicate issues to development and business teams.

• Work with developers and technical teams to troubleshoot defects and verify corrective actions.

• Update test plans, test cases, and supporting documentation as business and technical requirements change.

• Ensure testing activities align with established software development methodologies and quality standards.

• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders and technical teams throughout testing cycles.

• Track testing progress, defects, risks, and results and provide appropriate status reporting.

• Support analysis, planning, and management reporting activities related to software quality.

• Develop an understanding of assigned business processes and use that knowledge to improve testing effectiveness.

• Manage multiple testing responsibilities and priorities within established project timelines.

• Independently perform complex QA activities while exercising sound technical judgment.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have at least 8 years of relevant QA, software testing, or test automation experience, including:

• Designing automated tests and developing scripts that execute testing functions automatically.

• Developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks or solutions.

• Prioritizing test scenarios and developing test execution plans.

• Creating comprehensive test plans and test cases.

• Preparing and maintaining test environments.

• Performing functional, application, and regression testing.

• Interpreting business and technical requirements.

• Translating requirements into appropriate test scenarios and test cases.

• Updating test documentation as requirements evolve.

• Working throughout the Software Development Life Cycle, SDLC.

• Applying established software development and testing methodologies.

• Identifying, documenting, tracking, and validating software defects.

• Working directly with business stakeholders during testing cycles.

• Supporting analysis, planning, and management reporting functions.

• Collaborating with technical and non-technical teams.

• Managing multiple priorities and responsibilities simultaneously.

• Experience using Katalon for test automation.

• Experience supporting structured project delivery frameworks and standardized project documentation.

• Familiarity with enterprise information architecture and information management methodologies.

• Familiarity with large-scale enterprise software architecture, infrastructure components, and technology environments.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a seasoned QA professional who can independently manage complex testing initiatives from requirements analysis and test planning through automation, execution, defect management, regression testing, and final validation.

Candidates with 8+ years of QA automation experience, strong test scripting expertise, healthcare application testing experience, and hands-on Katalon experience will be particularly well aligned with this opportunity.
