QA Engineer II-III
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX or Logan, UT (Onsite)

Employment Type: 1 year contract 

We are seeking a Mechatronics QA Engineer to join a team focused on validating and improving the performance of advanced autonomous and mechatronic systems. This role will work closely with mechanical, electrical, embedded, and software engineering teams to test integrated systems, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and support product quality initiatives.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience testing complex electromechanical systems and enjoys working in both laboratory and field environments.
Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and validation procedures for mechatronic systems.

  • Perform testing across mechanical, electrical, embedded, and software components.

  • Analyze system performance and identify defects or integration issues.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and support corrective actions.

  • Document test results, validation findings, and defect reports.

  • Support user acceptance testing, field testing, and customer validation efforts.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve product quality and reliability.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum development activities.

  • Support QA process improvements and mentor junior team members.
Qualifications

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on QA, validation, or testing experience involving mechatronic systems.

  • Experience testing integrated hardware/software products.

  • Strong understanding of test methodologies, validation processes, and defect tracking.

  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, embedded, and software systems.

  • Exposure to scripting or automation tools such as Python or Bash.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with autonomous systems, robotics, industrial automation, or autonomous vehicles.

  • Experience with test automation frameworks.

  • Background in systems integration, validation, or reliability engineering.

  • Experience leading field validation or customer acceptance testing efforts.
