\nWe're looking for a QA Engineer with an electrical engineering foundation to own quality across our hardware products. This is a full-time QA role first and foremost — you'll spend most of your time planning, running, and improving tests — but your EE background is what sets you apart: you'll be able to sit in a schematic review, understand why a board behaves the way it does, and catch issues that a purely functional tester would miss.
\nThis role is a fit for someone early in their career who wants to grow, as well as someone with a few years of experience looking to work closer to the hardware. What matters most to us is curiosity — the instinct to keep asking “why is it doing that?” until you actually know.
\n• Plan, write, and execute test cases and test plans for our tags, sensors, and anchor-point hardware — functional, environmental, and reliability testing.
\n• Review schematics and PCB layouts alongside our EE team, contributing a test-and-quality perspective (design for testability, likely failure modes, edge cases).
\n• Perform board bring-up and validation on new revisions, and help characterize behavior against spec.
\n• Reproduce, isolate, and clearly document defects; work with hardware and firmware engineers to drive them to resolution.
\n• Use benchtop equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers) to investigate issues down to the root cause.
\n• Build and improve test fixtures, checklists, and procedures so quality scales as we do.
\n• Support regulatory and compliance testing efforts as needed.
\n• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
\n• Ability to read and reason about schematics and PCB layouts — you don't need to be a senior hardware designer, but you should be comfortable tracing a signal and understanding a circuit.
\n• Solid fundamentals with lab/benchtop test equipment.
\n• Strong written communication — clear, reproducible bug reports and test documentation.
\n• Curiosity above all. You dig into problems instead of working around them, you ask good questions, and you're not satisfied with “it passed” until you understand why it passed.
\n• Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable owning quality end-to-end.
\n• Comfortable working in Linux and on the command line for tasks like flashing firmware onto devices and similar bench/test workflows.
\n• Experience with KiCad (or another EDA tool like Altium / Eagle).
\n• Hands-on experience laying out and designing a PCB from scratch, including getting it fabricated (e.g. through JLCPCB or a similar service).
\n• Familiarity with wireless / RF or IoT hardware.
\n• Exposure to test automation or scripting (Python, etc.).
\n• Experience with environmental/reliability testing (thermal, humidity, drop, battery life).
\n• Prior QA or test experience in a hardware or manufacturing setting.
\n• Comfort using AI tools to help plan, organize, and speed up day-to-day tasking (test case generation, documentation, triage, research, etc.).
