Job Description

QUALITY INSPECTORS WANTED!

$18.30/hour

Monday to Friday, 3pm-11pm

Mandatory overtime on select weekends

Required Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  2. Previous QA experience preferred (At least 1 year).
  3. Ability to read blue prints required
  4. Mic and caliper knowledge required
  5. Computer literacy required
  6. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs.
  7. Ability to stand/walk for up to 8 hours.
Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Quality Lab Supervisor, with guidance from the Quality Lab Tech Lead, the Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for the completion of testing and inspection, dimensional analysis and support of other departments within the company. This position requires the Technician be able to complete product/process inspections in a product environment. Overtime will be required including some weekend hours. This position will also maintain the company's TS16949/ISO14001/EMS certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.

Essential Functions:
  1. Understand Customer Expectations as they relate to Product Quality
  2. Thrive in and help support a Team Atmosphere
  3. Help support the team members by mentoring Operators regarding Quality of Product
  4. Perform 1st Piece Inspection of manufactured product
  5. Perform in-process inspection of manufactured product
  6. Perform Product specific tests including but not limited to tensile
  7. Perform moisture analysis on manufactured product as well as incoming
  8. Verify Material Certification and Approve raw material Enter and edit SPC data in the SPC computer file
  9. File all QA records and samples (obsolete and current).
  10. Use incoming color chip samples to verify colorant in receiving
  11. Handle non-conforming material isolation and documentation
  12. Perform a dimensional layout referencing the HellermannTyton drawing
  13. Use SPC software Record all inspection and test data.
  14. Weigh parts.
  15. Use control plans. PPAP and PPC testing.
  16. Assist in maintaining the company's Quality and Environmental certification by supporting: Corporate policies, procedures, work instructions and required documentation.
Other Functions

Become a "Go To" person for production personnel regarding Quality of Product

Determine "Clean Point" when a non-conformance is found Support LEAN Work Environment

Other duties may be assigned.

Key Competencies
  1. Ability to read Blueprints
  2. Ability to use basic hand measuring tools
  3. Have basic math skills
  4. Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
  5. Basic computer skills a plus, Injection
  6. Molding knowledge a plus
