We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced QA Inspector to join our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing team on the swing shift. This is a critical role that ensures the highest quality standards in our electronics manufacturing process. Key Responsibilities
Inspect and test printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) for defects, soldering quality, and component placement accuracy
Operate and maintain Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) equipment and other quality control testing devices
Perform visual inspections following IPC-A-610 standards and company specifications
Document inspection results and maintain detailed quality records
Identify defects and communicate findings to production and engineering teams
Collaborate with manufacturing staff to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols
Meet or exceed daily inspection quotas while maintaining high accuracy standards
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent
2+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing QA inspection or similar role
Knowledge of SMT assembly processes and PCB inspection techniques
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail with excellent visual acuity
Ability to work swing shift (typically 3 PM - 11 PM or similar)
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks
Preferred Qualifications
IPC-A-610 certification or willingness to pursue certification
Experience with AOI equipment and automated inspection systems
Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, etc.)
Experience with SPC (Statistical Process Control) tools
Knowledge of soldering standards and defect classification
Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
