Job Title: QA Inspector
Location: Albany, NY (On-site, 5 days/week)
Job Type: 6 Month Contract-to-Hire
Pay Range: $50.00 to $60.00 per hour on W2
Start: Urgent (Interviews within 48 hours)
Schedule: Monday-Friday

Job Description:
  • We are seeking an experienced QA Inspector to support a high-profile federal construction project in the Albany, NY area. This is a critical role on a M fire station build, requiring a professional who can operate effectively in both field and office environments.
  • This position will serve as the eyes and ears on-site, ensuring quality standards are met while coordinating closely with project engineers and government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality assurance inspections following a 3-phase inspection process
  • Act as on-site QA representative (non-directive role to contractors)
  • Identify, document, and escalate quality issues
  • Collaborate with: Project Engineers, Government representatives
  • Review and respond to: RFIs (Requests for Information), Submittals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting
  • Support both field operations and administrative/project documentation

Required Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of construction experience
  • Minimum 5+ years handling RFIs and submittals
  • Proven ability to work across field and office functions
  • Experience in Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC)
  • Active CAT Card required (must have prior to start)
  • Ability to pass (or prior completion of) a federal background check
