    Job Description

QA Line Technician — Bottling and Dimensional Testing

Do you spot defects others miss? Are you comfortable taking a sample, running the numbers, and confidently saying “good to go” or “hold the line”?

    Picture this

A line restarts after a changeover. You collect the first articles, run thickness checks on the Magna Mike, confirm weights on calibrated scales, and compare results to specs. You record everything per the SOP/Work Procedure Manual and inform the operator and supervisor of any adjustments needed. Only when it passes do you green‑light production.

    In this role, you will

    • Audit visual inspections with Inspector Packers and help maintain a clean, orderly plant.
    • Sample from each production line and perform the full slate of required tests and evaluations to verify conformance.
    • Approve finished goods by confirming specifications through visual and measurement tests.
    • Isolate and contain nonconforming raw or finished product following the SOP/Work Procedure Manual.
    • Set up and operate quality instruments and fixtures to perform checks on selected samples.
    • Document all quality data accurately and follow all SOP/Work Procedure requirements.
    • Calibrate verification equipment daily using gauges/weights and complete all required check sheets.
    • Immediately report quality issues and nonconformances to the Production and/or Quality Supervisor and communicate required actions to operators.
    • Wear required PPE correctly, conduct yourself safely, and alert others to potential hazards to maintain a healthy, secure environment.
    • Keep your work area and assigned spaces clean; perform additional cleaning of areas or equipment when directed by your Supervisor.
    • Train on Inspector Packer tasks to provide break coverage or serve as backup; follow plant job specifications and task lists.

    What helps you succeed

    • Ability to speak, read, and write basic English to interpret procedures and record results.
    • Clear, timely communication with operators and supervisors.
    • Detail orientation and accountability in a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.

    Work rhythm

    • Assigned shifts with overtime and occasional after‑hours meetings as needed.
    • Other duties may be requested, directed, or assigned.

Tools you’ll master: Magna Mike thickness gauges, precision scales, calibration gauges/weights, and other quality instruments.

“Responsible for food safety, food quality and site safety.”
